The Pavilions Shopping Centre is kicking off the festive season with the opening of our Christmas Grotto. Bring the family along on Saturday 18th November and see the Mayor open Santa’s Grotto and switch on the Christmas lights at 11am.
The event starts at 10:30 and ends at 15:00 with loads to entertain the family during the day. Come and see performances by a local school choir, and the hilarious adventuring duo Hodman and Sally who will be roaming the centre on the day. See if you can spot them!
You can also step into a Christmas wonderland and have a family photo taken in our giant snow globe for free between 11:00 and 14:00.
Let the kids meet Santa
From 18th November to 24th December, you can come and visit Santa at his Christmas Grotto. Santa’s Grotto will be open between 10:00 and 16:00 every day, with a few exceptions.
The Grotto will be closed on the following days:
- 20th November
- 21st November
- 23rd November
- 27th November
- 28th November
- 30th November
Give the gift of love
This Christmas, The Pavilions Shopping Centre has partnered with Safer Places. You can get involved by taking a tag from our Giving Tree, which can be found near Santa’s Grotto, and buy a gift for a child to open on Christmas day.
The tag will state the age and sex of a child cared for by Safer Places. Buy an appropriate gift, attached the tag, and drop it off at the centre. The gifts will be collected by the charity on Friday 22 December.
