Every business needs a helping hand, but today we’re shining the spotlight on the independents in celebration of Small Business Saturday.
There’s a range of ways that you can help on the day and beyond, here are just a few…
Search for your find
While chains offer great items, sometimes it’s good to look outside the er, store and pick up an item that’s that little bit unique. Why not check out something from one of our independents like Dilly Dally? Or if you’re heading online, Etsy houses a great range of small businesses that need support for their wares.
Social does it
Social media is another spot that small businesses tend to look to when it comes to getting their products into your hands, so give the likes of Facebook a try. Join local groups that allow small businesses or independent sellers to show off their offerings and delight in buying a piece that will make you, and them, smile.
Food for thought
Food may not be the first thing we think about when it comes to small businesses but it’s right up there with the rest of them. Pop into the Plaza Café, give a helping hand, and order a delicious snack, creamy coffee, or on-trend bubble tea to show your support.
Support our centre
Why not come and support the entire shopping centre by coming to our Christmas Lights Switch On Event from 11 am – 4 pm on 26th November? You’ll not only find amazing bargains in our independents but also lots of free family-friendly activities like the nutcracker stilt walkers, Xmas temporary tattoo artist, VR interactive sleigh ride, giveaways and so much more! We are thrilled to be welcoming The Mayor, Cllr Paul Seeby, this year and we can’t wait to see you there as well. You won’t want to miss out!
